Diplôme Supérieur d'Études Françaises Modernes (DS)
The Diplôme Supérieur was established by the Alliance Française. The DS is a French language proficiency test at an advanced level and the certificate is approved by the French Ministry of Education.
Structure
The test consists of five parts: reading and writing, listening and speaking, structural competence (knowledge of grammar and vocabulary), dictation, and a resumé. In addition, examinees will have to prove their knowledge of either cultural or literary issues.
Results
The passing grades are 'very good', 'good' and 'fair'. Results are available within one month after the examination.
