Diploma de Español – Nivel Superior
The DELE is the official accreditation for fluency in Spanish, issued and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. The examinations can be taken at the Instituto Cervantes or other authorized organisations in May and October. You can get the exact dates from the Instituto Cervantes or the Spanish embassy of your country. The diplomas are recognised worldwide by private and national institutions.
The "Diploma Superior de Español" accredits an advanced knowledge of the language which allows communicaton in all situations requiring advanced usage and knowledge of cultural background.
Structure
- Reading comprehension; candidates must complete two tasks including answering nine multiple-choice questions based on three texts, never longer than 800 words, and referring to up to 10 series of text extracts (60 minutes)
- Written paper; candidates must write a formal letter and an essay, no longer than 150-200 words (60 minutes)
- Listening comprehension; candidates must answer 12 multiple-choice questions on four recordings (45 minutes)
- Grammar and vocabulary; candidates must complete three tasks including a multiple-choice text, 35 multiple-choice sentences and finding grammar errors in one or several given texts(60 minutes)
- Oral exam; candidates must hold a conversation with examiners (10-15 minutes)
